Glyn Y Coed

Explore our little hidden gem!

North Wales offers an unrivalled choice of scenery and activity to the discerning visitor and particularly attracts the walkers, climbers and cyclists.  Criccieth is also popular for golfers, being central to the courses in Porthmadog, Abersoch, Harlech, Nefyn, Pwllheli and Criccieth.

We are approximately 7 miles from Portmeirion Village and close to many attractions such as the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways, Snowdonia National Park, Slate mines, copper mines, several castles, Lloyd George Museum, Bodnant Gardens, and our favourite – the various beautiful beaches and coastline along the Llyn Peninsula.  Here you may spot the dolphins and seals.

The close by Snowdonia National Park covers 823 square miles of the most beautiful and unspoilt countryside in North West Wales.

We are pleased to help with advice, maps and books.

Criccieth is as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer – the air is often clearer and we see the snow on the mountains.
