Smell the sea and feel the sky...

..let your soul and spirit fly

Welcome to Glyn y Coed

A luxury B&B, in Criccieth, on the coast of North Wales.
Overlooking the sea, castle and mountains, our Victorian house offers 10 guest bedrooms.

We are waiting for government guidelines on when and how we should open and protect our guests and staff.

In the meantime, we are hoping to open from August and our suggestions for procedures have been emailed to the tourist authorities. These include –

  • Maximum 50% occupancy.
  • Where possible, we will try to alternate bedrooms to air them.
  • We will have gloves, masks and sanitisers available.
  • In addition to our usual thorough cleaning routine, we will have additional procedures in place.
  • We will have an isolation room, which will be a separate twin bedded annex room at the rear of the main house with its own entrance and usual facilities. Your stay in here will be charged at the usual rate.
  • We will initially provide a good continental breakfast rather than a cooked breakfast as we will be short-staffed due to lack of income and also that way, we will not have to keep visiting each table. Tables 2 metres apart. Masks used at the buffet table.
  • We usually greet all of our guests and offer a pot of coffee however, we are considering a key or code option for the front door.
  • In the event of any guest or member of staff experiencing symptoms of the Coronavirus, we will ask everyone to leave as quickly as possible. Your stay up until that day and including that day will be payable in full.

We are sorry for this change to our service however, please bear with us whilst we test the water carefully.

Please do call Julie on 01766 522870 if you have any suggestions or queries .

Thank you for your understanding .
