Dafydd and Julies favourite walk from the hotel.
On the road outside the hotel head right through the town heading towards to Pwllheli, 2 miles away is Llanystumdwy, walk into the town and follow the signs for Lloyd George grave by the River Dwyfor, from here you’ll find the footpath running along side the River Dwyfor for aprox 2 miles until it reaches a bridge at Rhyd y Benllig. From here turn right into the main road, walk along for 500metres until you see a footpath sign on the right hand side taking you though the woods on the Bron Eifion estate, this will eventually lead you back to the outskirts of criccieth.
Short walk suggestion by Dafydd and Julie:
Cross the road opposite the hotel down to the beach, turn right following along the sea front passed the lifeboat station and up past the castle (or around the castle and then home for an shorter walk). Continue past the castle along at the sea front, continue at the very far end and take the steps down at the first beach or alternatively follow the footsteps at the top of the headland, this will take you all the way along to the mouth of the River Dwyfor’s entry to the sea. There are along the way variant ways where you can veer to the right which joins the main road form Pwllheli to Criccieth which runs back to the hotel.
